CHE 2-2 EVE: Joao Felix with brilliant performance, Mason Mount miss out, Kante rested

Chelsea played the final game in the English Premier League today when they welcomed Everton to the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday evening. The Blues had a fine performance in the game but couldn’t claim the all important victory as they were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw by Everton courtesy of goals from Joao Felix, Kai Havertz, Abdoulaye, Doucoure and Ellis Simms.
Well, Joao Felix remained unchanged in Chelsea’s starting lineup today as he put up yet another amazing performance against Everton. The Portuguese International was an inspiring force in the Blues’ attack always making good forward runs and trying to beat one or two players to unlock the Everton’s stubborn defense line. The 23-year-old also netted a stunning goal in the game which gave Chelsea the lead early in the second half against the Toffees.
Well, I believe his awesome performance in this match explains why Chelsea should consider signing him permanently from Atletico Madrid. In the short period in which he has been at the club, the Portuguese International has shown glimpses of his immense quality in the team. His creativity and attacking brilliance are definitely what Chelsea need at the moment and signing him permanently shouldn’t be thought twice by the club.
Mason Mount was excluded in Chelsea squad against Everton today after the English international yet to renew his contract and change his agent amid leaving the club this summer.
N’Golo Kante did not feature in today’s game but was part of the team as he rested on the bench. Potter doesn’t want to make any mistake of losing him to injury as he make sure to be fully fit before he return to the pitch.
