Chelsea board agreed with Marina Granovskaia to complete triple signing of high-rated players this January
Agent makes Dest admission, Chelsea submit De Jong offer and Chelsea in talks for Dembele in Chelsea roundup…
Fresh reports have claimed that Chelsea have held talks with Ousmane Dembele as he looks set to leave Barcelona
Dembele has greatly frustrated since arriving at the Camp Nou. Due to a combination of both poor form and persistent injuries, he has made just 126 appearances for the Spanish giants, scoring 30 goals
However, there has been some shock speculation in the media that Chelsea may be open to the idea of bringing him to the Premier League in order to add a bit more of a goal-threat to that Attack.
Dembele enjoyed his best form at Dortmund under current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, so it would not be a surprise to see the two reunited at Stamford Bridge, especially as Chelsea know they may be able to get the Frenchman for a bargain
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and talks between player and club over a Nou Camp extension have recently ground to a halt following the Frenchman’s substantial demands.
The winger is reportedly pushing for an annual salary of £25million and a separate signing bonus of £25m, while his agent is believed to have stipulated a commission of £13m – demands which have been deemed ‘crazy’ by the Barcelona hierarchy, according to reports in Spain.
With a departure now appearing imminent, Chelsea have emerged as one of the frontrunners in the race for his signature having held discussions with the player this month, according to SPORT.
The report also adds that Manchester United are also interested in a move for Dembele and are ready to battle the likes of Chelsea to get a deal done for the Frenchman.
Look, there is no doubt that Dembele has massive amounts of potential, but the player is just too injury prone. If Chelsea just want to add to their squad, then he could be a decent signing.
But he is no longer a regular starter and not any better than what Chelsea already have. So if the reports are true and Chelsea are keen on a transfer deal, he would be a signing that will not make much of an impact at the club.
Chelsea target Sergio Dest will not be leaving Barcelona during the January transfer window, according to the right-back’s representative.
Thomas Tuchel said himself at the start of December that he was not planning a busy transfer window, but confirmation that Ben Chilwell needs surgery, and will be out until the new year means that he needs to add to that back-line.
There has been a number of players linked with a transfer move to the Bridge, and the latest name to to linked is that of Dest.
The right-sided defender, that can operate on the left, has become a reported target of the Blues as the board know Barcelona need funds in order to buy the quality of player Xavi needs to get the club back to the top of the game
It had been claimed that Tuchel had told the Chelsea board that he would like to the club to sign Dest this transfer window, either on loan until the end of the season or on a more permanent basis.
However, despite all the speculation that Chelsea are preparing to put an offer on the table, His agent has opened up and announced that Dest is not looking to leave Barcelona this transfer window.
“Sergino feels good in Barcelona,” he told Ran.
“It’s a great club. That’s why it’s actually rather unlikely at the moment.”
Dest is a quality player that would have been a decent replacement for Chilwell, so the fact that he is staying put will be a massive blow to the Blues. But they will need to act quickly if they are looking to sign some cover, as their January targets are either staying or closing in on other teams
They need to start getting these transfer deals done sooner rather than later
CHELSEA have reportedly made a bid of £33million for Barcelona flop Frenkie de Jong.
The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now, and despite all the speculation, all the rumours and all the players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, Thomas Tuchel has seen no new faces arrive this month so far
But after seeing his Chelsea side fall further away from winning that Premier League title after they lost 1-0 to Manchester City at the weekend, Tuchel may now push to get some deals done, and the latest name to be linked with a move is De Jong
De Jong has featured in 24 games for Barca this season, but has failed to live up to his much-hyped potential, and According to El Nacional, Chelsea are chasing the Dutchman, and if they up their offer to around £42m that could prove fruitful.
And the reports claims If the former Ajax star was to leave, Barcelona would be able to call on ready-made replacements.
Youth graduates Pedri and Gavi have impressed this season with another youngster, Nico, also rated highly by the club.
We are very shocked to see that Chelsea are linked with a midfielder this transfer window, as all of their issues seem to be at the back and up top, in front of goal. De Jong is a very special player that has become a key part of the Barca squad.
Yes he has not impressed like many had hoped for, but at the end of the day, neither has many of those Barcelona players. So if the reports are true and Chelsea have made a bid to sign De Jong, he would be a very good signing
However, Chelsea fans wont be too disappointed to hear that we do not believe this is a deal that will happen
