Thomas Tuchel made a couple of tactical changes against Lille. The German manager dropped his most valuable attacker, Romelu Lukaku, to the bench while Christian Pulisic was offered a place in the starting lineup.
Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz were the other attackers who managed their way into the starting lineup.
However, Thomas Tuchel might have to make some changes against Liverpool due to injury problems.
Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech are likely going miss the crucial clash against Liverpool. Both players limped off in the second half against Lille after suffering serious injuries.
Thomas Tuchel is expected to name a very strong lineup even if Kovacic and Ziyech are unavailable for the Carabao Cup final.
Chelsea’s possible lineup against Liverpool:
Goalkeeper: Mendy
Defenders: Christensen, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, Alonso, Azpilicueta
Midfielders: Kante, Jorginho
Attackers: Pulisic, Mount, Havertz
