Chelsea lunches undefeated lineup against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final

Chelsea killer lineup against Plymouth in the FA Cup game

The day has finally come for Chelsea to complete the great haul of winning all the possible titles at Club Level. The FIFA Club World Cup Trophy remains the only title that Chelsea are yet to win, and the West London club will have the chance of correcting that when they face Palmieras on Saturday evening in the showdown of the Tournament.

The Blues’ Squad have received the greatest boosts possible for the game against Palmieras, and that’s the presence of their Boss.

Thomas Tuchel has being in isolation since last Saturday which made him to miss the FA Cup encounter against Plymouth Argyle and the FIFA Club World Cup Semifinals against Al Hilal.

However, the German Gaffer touchdown in Abu Dhabi on Friday afternoon after he was cleared to travel. He’s expected to be in the dugout when Chelsea faces Palmieras.

We’ll take a look at the possible starting lineup that Thomas Tuchel is likely to use against Palmieras.

The Brazilian Club is the Winner of the Copa Libertadores and they an aggressive team which is bound to give Chelsea’s Defenders a tough time. Former Chelsea Star Ramires opined that the game against Palmieras will be won by the team that dominates the Midfield.

If Thomas Tuchel is to go by this, we might see the German Gaffer adapt a 4-2-3-1 formation which is contrary to his 3-4-2-1 tactics. The Former will allow Chelsea to settle back at home fully while the vast attacking options will make them look dangerous on the counterattack.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been rock solid in the absence of Edouard Mendy but it’s expected that Mendy will be in between the sticks against Palmieras.

At the defense, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger are first choice while Cesar Azpilicueta and Malang Sarr will start in the Fullback positions.

The double-pivot in the Midfield is expected to include Jorginho and Mateo Kovavic who both started against Al Hilal while N’Golo Kante might be introduced in the latter minutes to close out Palmieras.
