Chelsea Place €35M On New Target As The Blues Still Want To Sign Defenders In January

New Chelsea transfer target has been revealed, as the blues continue rebuilding their squad. Chelsea are still interested in strengthening their defense despite splashing the cash on Koulibaly, Fofana, and Cucurella last summer.
This time they are negotiating a deal to sign French defender Benoit Badiashile. He is a 21-year-old defender that who plays for Monaco in the Ligue 1.
Badiashile is a highly rated left center-back who is known for his aggressiveness and tenacity in defense. Badiashile made his debut for Monaco in a 4-0 loss against PSG back in November 2018, and since then he has made over 100 league appearances for Monaco scoring 6 times.
The defender, who is of Congolese descent has won two caps for the French national team.
According to reporter David Ornstein, Chelsea are still looking at other defensive options as they look to refresh their options in defense next month.
Josko Gvardiol had agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but his transfer fee was too high. The Blues are also looking at Eintracht Frankfurt defender Ndicka, and Ecuadorian defender Hincapie.
Todd Boehly and his executives are speedily investing in a fresher and more competitive Chelsea squad.
