Chelsea conducted fresh talks regarding the future of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele. The French International has admitted his admiration for the Chelsea couch Thomas Tuchel who he played under while in Dortmund.

Dembele moved from the German side Borussia Dortmund, to Spanish side Barcelona with a transfer fee of £120 million in 2017.

The Frenchman, now 24, has had rough times at the club, experiencing several injuries that have crippled his play and put his career at risk.

English clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United have shown their interest in the player but it seems, Chelsea have an upper hand on this deal considering the relationship between Thomas Tuchel and Ousmane Dembele.

According to Spanish news outlet SPORT, Dembele was given a deadline of 31 December 2021 to decide on his future. His agent has had talks with both Chelsea and Manchester United and there is a potential move for the frenchman to West London.

Dembele on BeiN sports explained,” Thomas Tuchel really convinced me, he is my favourite manager.”

With the ongoing talks and the pressure on the Chelsea squad due to injuries, The Dembele deal looks possible.
