Premier League giants, Arsenal are Keen on offloading fringe players as well as bringing in quality signings this January transfer window, with Manager Mikel Arteta aiming to build a strong squad that can challenge for major honours in the second half of the 2021/2022 campaign.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have completed two deals. Shot stopper Matt Turner has joined the Gunners from New England Revolution for €7m + €3m in bonuses & he has signed a four year contract with the club with an option to extend for a further year.
The Mikel Arteta’s side have also finally sealed the transfer of highly rated centre back Calum Chambers who has joined Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa on a free transfer. He has signed a three & a half deal with the villains.
Calum Chambers becomes the 4th Arsenal star to leave the Emirates stadium this winter, following the departure of Pablo Mari & Ainsley Maitland Niles on loan moves as well as Sead Kolasinac who completed a permanent transfer to Ligue 1 powerhouse Marseille.
