EPL: Chelsea’s Next 5 Games That Should See Them Back On A Winning Streak & Boost Their Top 4 Hope

Graham Potter releases Chelsea lineup to face Bournemouth
The blues haven’t had it easy since returning to Premier League action, and I’ll blame it on difficult fixtures and a large injury list. The blues recently lost to Manchester City on Thursday night in the league, but we all saw how well they performed against a complete Pep Guardiola’s side.
Yes, Chelsea’s results need to improve, but by only losing 1-0 to City despite an injury crisis, they have demonstrated that there is still hope.

The Blues are currently in 10th place in the league, ten points behind fourth place. They still have 21 games left to play, and if they are determined, I believe they can make it back into the top four by the end of the season. Looking ahead, the Blues’ next five games will be against lower-tier teams in the league, and I expect them to go on a winning streak in all of them.

Let’s go over Chelsea next five games in the league;

Fulham VS Chelsea:

Chelsea’s next league game will see them face against Fulham on the 12th of this month at Craven Cottage Stadium. The Blues have won all five of their previous meetings with Fulham. This is an undisputed record, and I expect the Blues to get back to winning ways in their next game. See the image below for head-to-head records;

Chelsea VS Crystal Palace:

Chelsea will then host struggling Crystal Palace on the 15th of this month. The Blues have also won all five of their previous meetings with Crystal Palace, and I expect them to do so again in this game. Based on their strong record, they are a huge favorite to win this game. See the image below for head-to-head records;

 Liverpool VS Chelsea:

This is the only difficult game on the list, but given Liverpool’s poor performance recently, the Blues should be able to take all three points. Potter’s men will have to be prepared for a tough battle in this game. See the image below for head-to-head records;

Chelsea VS Fulham:

Chelsea will host Fulham again for the second league meeting on the 3rd of February. The blues still remain favorite to win this game based of previous results. See the image below for head-to-head records;

West Ham VS Chelsea:

Chelsea last game on this list will see them face relegation threatened West Ham. The blues should definitely pick up all three points against the Hammers. See head-2-head records in the picture below;

You’ll agree that these are easy fixtures. The Blues must be determined and work hard to ensure that they get all 15 points in this game. If they can do that, I am confident they will be able to get their top four hopes back on track.
