This has been a tumultuous weekend for everyone in the UK, But Graham Potter has had a it worse than most.

He found out he as getting the Chelsea job just hours before it was announced the Queen was dead and the whole nation’s attention turned elsewhere.

What would have been Potter’s first game in charge – against Fulham on Saturday – was cancelled, and it’s only now that he knows that tomorrow’s game against RB Salzburg will in fact go ahead.

There are concerns about policing, and Arsenal haven’t been so lucky. Their Europa League game against PSV later in the week is very much in doubt.

But according to the Evening Standard, Chelsea’s game will go ahead on Tuesday night, allowing Potter to finally get his feet under the table.

Let’s hope he’s used these extra few days wisely, after this, the games don’t stop until the World Cup starts.
