Chelsea book their place in the final stages of the FIFA Club World Cup after a 1-0 win over Al-Hilal at Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday evening, thanks to Romelu Lukaku strike in the first 45 minutes.
The Blues made perfectly start to the game by take control of the game, as Hakim Ziyech fires a presentable chance wide from the top of the box after great defensive work from Christensen to step up and win the ball.
Several minutes later, Chelsea had another chance of broken the deadlock as Azipilicueta fires in an inviting low cross to Lukaku, unfortunately the Blues forward can’t make any contact from close range.
In 31 minutes of the game, Lukaku find back of the net to put the Blues ahead of the Asian champions Al-Hilal, who will look to get back into the game in the second half.
Tenth into second-half, the European champions continue to look the more dangerous side as they had 12 total shots and three on target compared to five and one for Al-Hilal.
After couple of minutes the Asian champions are look more dangerous side but a big thank to Kepa Arrizabalaga who made couple of brilliant save to denied Al-Hilal players.
The Blues will face Brazil side Palmeiras in the final stages of the competitions.
