Manchester United legend, Ferdinand sends serious warning to Raheem Sterling after caught in odd position

Raheem Sterling was caught in a slightly odd position during Chelsea’s win over Everton, and Rio Ferdinand knows what’s in store for him.

The England forward, who joined the Blues in a £50million deal this summer, made his debut as they ran out 1-0 winners against Everton.

He looked bright throughout the contest, having a debut goal ruled out for offside.

And in the second half a goalbound effort with his left foot was deflected just wide of the post.

However, arguably his most memorable moment in the match came in very unexpected circumstances when appealing for a penalty.

With his back to goal Sterling went down inside the Everton box, arching his hips and backside in the direction of Toffees defender Yerry Mina as he landed on the ball.

The incident drew lots of traction on social media but Manchester United legend Ferdinand has been in a similar position before.

During a clash against Manchester City, Ferdinand was pictured pointing his backside in the direction of former Red Devil Carlos Tevez as the two tussled for the ball.

And Ferdinand offered some advice to Sterling in a funny message on Twitter.

Ferdinand said: “Just been sent this. Raheem I feel your pain now bro…brace yourself for the memes!!! @sterling7.”
