Manchester United vs Chelsea: Team News, Kick-off Time, Injury Update And Predicted Lineups

Thomas Tuchel’s team rebounded from a 4-2 home loss to Arsenal last week with a 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday, thanks to a 90th-minute goal by Christian Pulisic after Jorginho missed a penalty.

Thomas Tuchel’s team now travels to Old Trafford after defeating West Ham to face struggling Manchester United.

The Blues will go into the game at Old Trafford knowing that a win will put them eight points ahead of the fourth-placed Gunners and could potentially secure a champions league spot for next season. Chelsea should take advantage of Manchester United’s current state of disarray to pick up three more points.

Chelsea Team News and Injury list

Rudiger and James both missed West Ham’s 1-0 victory due to minor injuries, but both are expected to be available for the game at Old Trafford. Following their victory over West Ham, Tuchel spoke about their situation.

“Reece had a bit of a weird feeling, not feeling fully confident about his hamstrings, so we did not take the risk of a reinjury and left him out of the squad.”

“The injury of Toni, in one leg it’s the groin and the other a bit the hamstring. He is somebody that plays through the pain and is used to it, but it’s muscle pain and huge discomfort. He feels insecure because he is not used to having muscle injuries.”

Meanwhile, Pulisic came off the bench to score at Stamford Bridge, but Tuchel may opt for Havertz, Mount and Werner in attack. He is likely to start from the bench again at Old Trafford.

In terms of injured players, Kovacic, Chilwell, and Hudson-Odoi are still out.
