Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount has revealed that while on the bench during the FA Cup semi-final clash with Crystal Palace, himself and Jorginho laughed at Timo Werner after the German striker missed a chance.
He said this while praising Werner’s performance in the 2-0 victory over Palace on Sunday.
The Blues will play Liverpool in the FA Cup final after Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount gave the Blues a well deserved 2-0 over Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace.
Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring in the 65th minute before Mount came off the bench to wrap things up 10 minutes later after a neat team move with an assist from Werner.
Asked about Werner’s performance, Mount told ITV Sport after the match: “He got me a little assist!
“He could have had another one [for Romelu Lukaku] and he could have probably had a couple of goals as well.
“You can see in the second half, he had a chance I think and he missed, me and Jorgi [Jorginho] were laughing on the bench, and he ran all the way back to the halfway line to win the ball back!”
