Chelsea star player beats his teammates to win man of the match against Southampton

Chelsea football club of England under the tutelage of German tactician Thomas Tuchel were absolutely phenomenal yesterday in the semi-final ties of the Emirates FA Cup against Crystal Palace at the Wembley Stadium.

The Blues in the game were very outstanding as they put behind the disappointment of the past where they crashed out of the UEFA Champions League at the quarter finals against Real Madrid, despite putting in every needed energy which got them a win but was not enough to progress to the next stage.

They were able to maintain the tempo and momentum yesterday with a convincing win despite the Patrick Vieira’s side initially proving to be a very difficult opponent to deal with.

The first half of the game was such a balanced one between the two sides as there was nothing to separate them going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.

They were able to outsmart and outclass the Eagles in the second half as Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave the European and World Champions the lead to make it one nil before Mason Mount doubled the lead to make it two nil.

After so many other attempts put up from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended two goals to nil at full time.

This was the first time since 1970 when two Englishmen will score for Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium and what a combination from the two Cobham product who rescued the moment for the Blues.

After the game, England football governing body popularly known as EPL has reacted to the win which booked a spot for the Blues in the final of the competition with a post via their verified Twitter handle.

Premier League posted that goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount secured a third successive Emirates FA Cup final for the Blues which was then complimented with a clap emoji to praise them for the job well done.

The West London club will now be hoping to turn things around this time by winning the title having lost their previous two against Arsenal and Leicester City respectively.
