Reece James sends message to Chelsea fans over his injury

Chelsea defender, Reece James has sent message to the Blues fans over poor run this season and he won’t be available for now.

The 23-year-old last featured for the Blues last month in the Champions League and has only managed to start 14 league matches this season – his lowest total during a single term at the club.

A second trip to Manchester in five days did not bear any rewards on Thursday night as the West Londoners were thrashed 4-1 by Manchester United, with Joao Felix bagging a consolation for the visitors late on.

Following the defeat at Old Trafford, Lampard updated the Evening Standard on James’s injury, stating that: ‘He came out [to train] yesterday but went back in, because he had a little bit of awareness [of the injury]. We hope the scan will show there’s no real damage.’

Reece James: “I won’t be back for the last game. It’s been tough for me. I’m sorry this season hasn’t gone as we all wanted”.

“Next season I’ll be back stronger than ever and we will be back fighting for trophies,” he said.
