Thomas Tuchel speaks on Rudiger, Kovacic, Hudson-Odoi, Chilwell injury update ahead of West Ham game

Thomas Tuchel speaks on replacing 3" on Chelsea shirts with a peace symbol (Video)

The Blues head into the contest after a disappointing midweek defeat to Arsenal. Tuchel’s side were beaten 4-2 by the Gunners, and it was their third consecutive loss at Stamford Bridge, an unwanted record that Chelsea’s players will be hoping to end when the Irons visit.

Tuchel will not have a full squad from which to select his side, however. Ben Chilwell (knee) remains sidelined and isn’t likely to feature again this season, while Callum Hudson-Odoi isn’t expected to return from an achilles issue that has troubled him for several weeks. Mateo Kovacic, meanwhile, is set to miss out with an ankle ligament injury.

We will get the latest on the fitness of Antonio Rudiger, who missed the midweek defeat with a groin issue sustained in the FA Cup semi-final. Tuchel wasn’t hopeful that the German would be available to return but will provide an update when he faces the media shortly.

As always, we will have live coverage of Tuchel’s press conference. Our Chelsea correspondent Adam Newson will be in position at Cobham, and live updates will appear below before, during and after the Blues head coach sits down to talk with the press.
