Chelsea has reportedly been given a greenlight to secure the services of a 25-year-old winger, who plays for Barcelona this summer, according to reports.
The 25-year-old in-demand winger, who has just weeks left on his contract with Barcelona has been heavily linked with a move out of the Camp Nou, as Barcelona failed to reach a consensus with him over an extension of his contract.
Chelsea has been created with a keen interest in the winger as they plan to bolster their attack in the next season and see the French winger as an upgrade for the likes of Hakim Ziyech, and Timo Werner who failed to perform to expectations at the Stamford Bridge in the last season.
According to The Sun, The west London club has been given a major boost in their chase for the French international winger as Barcelona has confirmed the 25-year-old winger’s refusal to sign a new contract.
Dembele has been able to play 150 games in all competitions for Barcelona since he joined from Borussia Dortmund and has been able to find the back of the net 32 times, winning two titles and two Spanish Cups in the process.
